So I got this idea after a few long glances at the 'ole pay stub. Teaching won't make me rich. Yeah it took me two years and a pay cut to fully come to this realization. Do I want to do anything else? Heck-to-the-no! I love my job and I have done it three completely different ways so far. Can't complain about any of them. If anything, I feel sorry for people that don't ride the gravy train with me. I leave for work every morning and get to watch the sun rise while I listen to book six of Harry Potter (I listened to book 7 3 times so far this year... it is time for a change.) I clear my head, think about the day and I mean the entire day, from work, to chores when I get home, to what's for supper, to what's coming on TV and finally the greatest thought of all after being awake for a whopping thirty minutes... what's bedtime tonight??? I am always home by 4:15 (greatness right?? plus all the grand holidays and entire summer to play!) and have the house picked up and laundry started by the time I sit down at the computer and get to work! What is it that I am working on? Photos. All.The.Time.
Quick Summary:
Adam bought a new program for video editing over the summer when we bought our new computer so that he could improve the highlight film this year. Consequently the photographer that is always used is only attending home games this year so there is a gap in pictures every other week in the film. This is where the fun has begun. I have been all over Wellington taking pictures of the community to give it a hometown feel and I have started standing on the sidelines (tonight I actually have permission from Coach Williams) and borrowing some great cameras to get some awesome action shots for the grand video project. Now, I have wanted this for a long time but it seems like every other day some great someone takes "the best pictures ever." That being said, that photographer charges a fortune before long and the cycle for someone new begins again!
So here it is. I am in business. I am sending my favorite game photos to "The Wellington Leader" starting this week and I am trying to get my name out there. The name so it reads on the bottom of all my pictures, Remember Me Photography. Yes other people have this name. Do I care? No. This is for Lexi. Photos of her are all we have to look at and for this reason I want everyone to always have photos to remember those precious gifts in life. This isn't about being rich, it's about capturing moments, a lifetime, the journey. I am just getting started, but I hope to start clicking away these days to bring forth a future filled with flashes of joy and happiness.
